  1. In C, "that" is introducing a clause that describes the "price". So it is fine, but the problem arises when we consider this rule: the comma before "that" is wrong. "that" is never preceded by a comma because "that" introduces a restrictive clause. However, I would go with C because we need to introduce a subordinate clause that can describe the "price" and "that" is the only word we have that can introduce a clause. There is a comma before the underlined word because we have an added information "per millegram". The commas are not for the clause but for the added information. Remove "per millegram" and the sentense looks fine. C is the best answer available. I might be wrong but we are here to discuss and improve. So please comment.
  2. Its either D or E. Erin or 800bob please help.
  3. It is A. In D, we are introducing a non-restrictive clause so 'that' has to be replaced with 'which'. Simple Rule: 'that' is not preceded by a comma. 'which' is preceded by a comma.
  4. certainly B. X has more....than does Y
  5. "doubt that" is a correct idiom. So A,B and D are out. C is wrong because the use of "not doubted" is wrong. "not doubted" takes the tense before the investigators had a look at the report. If it was "before" in place of "once"( I might be wrong though, please correct if i m wrong). Moreover, the body is not a man but the body is of a man (don't go deep into it ;-))
  6. It is C. The error in E is that, it uses both consider and as. you cannot have both consider and as. Considered = regarded as. so either have consider or have regarded as. E would be correct if u replace considered with regarded.
  7. Though E is in passive voice, I would go with E. D is not parallel sentence.

Can you suggest me any colleges that I can apply, I am thinking of applying to University of Texas at Dallas and University of North Texas. 16. I am computer engineer from Nepal (69.4%). My TOEFL score is 267 and GMAT score is 590 (Quant: 49, verbal: 22). I have 1yr work experience. I am confused about whether to apply for MBA or MS. 18. how to solve this problem? i cannot directly figure out that the answer has to be x=4 and y=7 so 11. there must be a way to solve it. My process: because 7x+5y=63, so 5y results in a number with the unit digit 0 or 5. If 0 then 7x has to result in a number with unit digit 3 (7*9=63). In this case x can be 9 and thus y=0. Therefore total number 9+0=9 If 5y results in a number with the unit digit 5, then 7x has to result in a number with unit digit 8 (7 *4=28). In this case, x can be 4 and y=7(5*7=35). Hence total number 4 + 7=11. What are the choices? Is there any other better method to solve this problem?

  23. a number of.... takes plural verb the number of .... takes singular verb. The difference is in the use of 'a' and 'the'. 'a' does not give a fixed number while 'the' gives a fixed number. A number of women sing...... The number of women sings.......... .
