My Target Scores

1. Hey guys, I was wondering do universities usually send accepted/rejected/waitlisted notifications around the same time, or do they send rejections at the end (like around April)
2. Hey folks Hope all is well. Hoping to get some feedback on my profile. I am applying for a Masters in Financial Economics. I can't recall specifically my GPA, but I know it is close to or equal to 3.70 overall and 3.50 for Econ and Math Specific. I have taken the following math classes: Calc I (A), Calc II (C, I know low mark, but this class was tough for me), Calc III (B), Differential Equations (A), Probability Theory (A), Linear Algebra (B), Statistics (A). For those who would like to know my econ grades, Econometrics (A), Intermediate Micro (B+), Intermediate Macro (A), Advance Macro (At least at our university, the professor said it was) (A). I am looking at Master's in Financial Economics and would also like to end up doing work in International finance. Took a class and got an A in the course and absolutely loved it. I would share my GRE scores, but I am taken it at the end of this month. based on projections from practice test (160 Q) and paper test (162), which I would like to score higher of course. Thank you for the feedback and if any of you know a program that I should look into as well, let me know. Take care everyone.
3. Every day, we get posts that look are formatted like this: PROFILE Type of Undergrad: B.E (hons.) Mechanical Engineering Economics from top university in North Korea (BOTS Sayo) Undergrad GPA: 9.5/10 the back end of which displays: PROFILEType of Undergrad: B.E (hons.) Mechanical Engineering Economics from top university in North Korea (BOTS Sayo) Undergrad GPA: 9.5/10 For quite a long time, I've wanted to get rid of the option of changing the font and color. These options were fun and cool in the 90s and 2000s (maybe), but today, I tend to think they are just distracting. Furthermore, when moderating from the back end, it can make it hard to scan for spam, bots, etc. because we see this: Making this change would remove ALL the existing formatting from ALL posts ever made. (I would have to run a SQL query to remove FONT and COLOR tags from all posts.) So I wanted to see whether people really care about this so much that they'd object to my suggestion. Let me know what you think!
4. Pharmaceutical chargebacks processing is a vital, yet tedious process in revenue management. Now automate this process end to end with EmpowerRM software solutions. Is there anyone who is connected to empowerrm.com.
5. Hi everyone, it's been a while since I've posted on here but I have a peculiar question and I wasn't sure who to ask about it. For whatever the reasons may be, I am pretty set on doing what it takes to make it into one of the Top X schools. In the past, when I have talked to professors about my desire to go to grad school, they always seemed to offer general comments such as "as long as you end up in the Top X+15, it doesn't make a difference." I have also been told the exact opposite by another economist, for what it's worth. I am now hoping to go back to that former set of professors to pick their brain about graduate school after having been out of undergrad for a year. I am worried it may come off as brash or overly ambitious to say to them that I would like to end up at a Top X school. Is revealing this 'ambition' okay to do? Or should I ask for advice in a general way (eg "I want to strengthen my profile")? Thanks in advance!
6. I'm an Indian and currently pursuing MBA. I'm interested in doing Ph.D. in the area of finance and is expected to apply this year. I have done my engineering in the area of IT. By the time I will send my application I will have almost two years of RA Experience, at least one conference presentation, one published paper in a peer-reviewed international journal (Second Author). I'm also expecting a GRE score of 330+. The thing that I'm worried about is my not so good academics. I was in top 30% of the batch by the end of the first year MBA and my Graduation GPA is 8/10. I'm also thinking of writing CFA Level 1, but I will only be able to give exam in December and results will come by the end of January. My not so good academics is bothering me a lot. I have seen the profile of students in the top 25 programs and generally found people with very good academics. There is no way for me to retake courses and improve acads. I would be very thankful if one can give suggestions on improving my profile and how to deal with acad problem??
