Hi fellas ....

I've the following Two Queries ...

1) There's a GRE diagnostic test ( 15 $ online exam ), is tat benefitial ? has anyone given tat one ?

2) when ppl say

kaplan - test 1 ( 1200 ), 2 week before real GRE

test 2 (1400 ), 1 week before real GRE

power prep - test 1 (1250 ), 2 weeks before real GRE

test 2 ( 1350 ), 1 week before

Since many of us has this habit of revising the mistakes from Test 1 ... since the database of questions is limited, there's a possibility tat Questions might get repeated in the subsequent test, if YES , then how true are our second test scores ??

The second Query may seem to ba vague .. but pls if possible do reply ?

take care .. fellas

Powerprep: test 1-> 1510 (800Q + 710V)

(gave the test 2 weeks prior to my test date)

(1 week prior to the test date)

Test 2-> 1500 (800q + 700v)

(Gave it on the night before the exam)

Kaplan : Dont remember it exactly but scores were between 1450 & 1550

Real GRE: Q - 740, V - 610

POWERPREP: Test 1: Q - 780, V - 570

Test 2: Q - 800, V - 550

Princeton Review (online): Q - 790, V - 570

I was actually quite angry with my score, since I had crammed in as much vocabulary as possible 2 days before the test, and expected to do better. However, I couldn't get much sleep, and that's because the geniuses at my local test center seem to think that 8:00 AM is a good time for everyone.

My GRE was a disaster. I am an EEE engr from BITS Pilani. I am working in TI Bangalore(2 months). I wanted a quant score of 800. I was a bit lethargic and over confident abt quant, as all my friends could make 800 easily (didnt know about their background work though). Didnt take practice tests. So, I ended up making 740. My verbal was ok - 670. I am confused about taking the retest or app this year itself. I have decent recos and I have done my 6 months project in ST Micro, Noida. Yet to give TOEFL. Kindly give some advice, guys!

Real GRE - 1490 (V760, Q730)

PowerPrep I and II - (V 740, Q 660)...identical scores in both tests.

Petersons (v 740, Q 680) did not measure a lot of there scores took quantitive for most tests and not the verbal.

1.800 score.com - (v 740, Q 530), took only quantitives not verbal for the other test.

Hello, this is the first time I've posted and I just finished taking it today. Was I ever so happy about my 2nd GRE score!!! You'll know what I mean when you see the score.:D

Real GRE 1: 1130 (V410, Q720)

Real GRE 2: 1430 (V680, Q750); my highest ever GRE score, practice or real

PowerPrep 2: 1170 (V460 Q710); I accidentally overtook the first one twice and so that's why I have no result for the first one.

GRE Paper Tests (10th edition): 1210 (V460 Q750), 1200 (V460 Q740), 1180 (V480 Q700), 1160 (V440 Q720), 1260 (V500 Q760), 1360 (V560 Q800), and 1150 (V470 Q680)

Barron's (14th edition): 1210 (first model test), 1160 (2nd), 1140, 1240, 1320; forgot the math and verbal score since I had to return the book to the library without copying each scores
