on_dope
Hi fellas .... I've the following Two Queries ... 1) There's a GRE diagnostic test ( 15 $ online exam ), is tat benefitial ? has anyone given tat one ? 2) when ppl say kaplan - test 1 ( 1200 ), 2 week before real GRE test 2 (1400 ), 1 week before real GRE power prep - test 1 (1250 ), 2 weeks before real GRE test 2 ( 1350 ), 1 week before Since many of us has this habit of revising the mistakes from Test 1 ... since the database of questions is limited, there's a possibility tat Questions might get repeated in the subsequent test, if YES , then how true are our second test scores ?? The second Query may seem to ba vague .. but pls if possible do reply ? take care .. fellas
swetak28
to truely test urself do not use the review in powerprep after u have given the test.Thts how im doing.as i repeat the tests i see a few Qs being repeated but atleast 50% r new ones.so i guess powerprep has a vast database thn many othrs like kaplan, princeton etc

jason_m
Real GRE: Q - 740, V - 610 POWERPREP: Test 1: Q - 780, V - 570 Test 2: Q - 800, V - 550 Princeton Review (online): Q - 790, V - 570 I was actually quite angry with my score, since I had crammed in as much vocabulary as possible 2 days before the test, and expected to do better. However, I couldn't get much sleep, and that's because the geniuses at my local test center seem to think that 8:00 AM is a good time for everyone. r2kins
i had one confusion: how can u find out your score in barrons because ...there's no scoring system given there...u just come to know if the answers were right or wrong...how do u deduce the score from that..??? cskumar
My GRE was a disaster. I am an EEE engr from BITS Pilani. I am working in TI Bangalore(2 months). I wanted a quant score of 800. I was a bit lethargic and over confident abt quant, as all my friends could make 800 easily (didnt know about their background work though). Didnt take practice tests. So, I ended up making 740. My verbal was ok - 670. I am confused about taking the retest or app this year itself. I have decent recos and I have done my 6 months project in ST Micro, Noida. Yet to give TOEFL. Kindly give some advice, guys! http://www.www.urch.com/forums/images/buttons/reputation.gif

Petersons (v 740, Q 680) did not measure a lot of there scores took quantitive for most tests and not the verbal. 1.800 score.com - (v 740, Q 530), took only quantitives not verbal for the other test.
