EXP
I believe that Caltech and Minnesota could announce on friday or maybe on Monday. I agree about Caltech, but I have not done research on Minnesota. Caltech is my top choice.
chocolate
Really? Is it likely that we hear from Caltech this week or next Monday? Has it been the same in previous years? I am so excited. Probably can't sleep anymore ...
krolczak
Caltech is my top choice. Interesting. What are your primary fields? Indeed, Caltech usually makes announcements somewhat earlier than the rest of the schools.

Experimental and behavioral economics. I know it's an unorthodox choice, but they have an abundance of professors whose research I am crazy about. There are also other factors involved in my decision, such as the two-body problem.

None of that have been reported in gradcafe. And I believe nothing is going to happen in this week. I am seeing a lot of movies in these days in order to forget that I am waiting decisions

standswithafist
Guys, how important are GRE quant scores if the overall profile is good? i mean im a double math and econ major so will that compensate for the low gre score, im talking really low like percentile in the 50s..i emailed some universities regarding whether i should apply with this score or not some said yes some said no so i only applied to the ones that were favourable. and now i think i made a mistake, i applied to really good unis like columbia, boston, georgetown, tulane, uni of virginia, umass amherst, uni of zurich. what should i do for backup

So unless your advisers specifically talk to the adcoms and push for you, there is a high chance your application will not even get read. I applied to a range of universities though. Man I wasted so much money on applying then :/

mk2019
I graduated one semester early and now I literally have no idea what to do cause I have so much free time. I tried to stay in gym three hours a day but it didn’t help at all.
ftcrazyft
Update: I just got a call from UChicago! Same. So happy did not expect it. Did you get the email already? I saw people saying they also got the email with the details, but I am still waiting.

sargeras23
Congratulations to all who got the UChicago offer! By the looks of it, they usually call all accepted in one day, judging from previous rounds on Gradcafe. One school down, I guess. :D

ftcrazyft
Has anyone heard from HBS? On GC there was one person that said they got an interview. Looking from past results that seems likely. I do think that they send out multiple rounds usually, so we shouldn't lose hope until the end of next week.

ftcrazyft
Where does this prediction come from? Is it from browsing grad cafe? Half. Two years ago friend got the email for an interview 10 days after another friend. But also from looking at other years on GC.
