  1. I wouldn't worry about it -- you meet the cutoff for most top 10 schools (perhaps it wouldn't be sufficient only for Harvard and MIT). I know people who've gotten admitted into top 5's with the same quant score or a lower one than yours.
  2. I personally think it would be better for you to mention why you didn't do well in all of your math courses. If someone has a doubt and you have a good reason (which seems to be the case), more information is better here.
  3. What type of development are you interested in? Field experiments with RCTs like what Esther Duflo is doing, or rather quasi-natural experiments like what Nathan Nunn is doing? If it's the former, I'm not sure, but for the latter, I would tend to think that Brown is better. In fact, in general, I would think Brown *now* is quite strong in applied micro (thanks to its recent hires of John Friedman, Emily Oster, and Jesse Shapiro). I know it's a bet but I'm certain it's on the rise and will continue in that direction. So, I would personally have chosen Brown.
  4. As long as you score 167+, you're good.
  5. I am not sure whether the professor who emailed me is in charge of admissions though... but yeah, will send you a PM then.
  6. Thanks for the link and sorry to hear thar you've been rejected... I have just checked my status and it says "Application under assessment".
  7. I first received a generic admission email informing me about my admission offer, then I received a personalized email from a UCSD professor.
  8. Depends on the field(s) you are interested in and if they overlap, then which professor(s) you'd be interested in working with.
  9. Me. Apparently, last year they officially told candidates that they are on the waitlist at the end of March.
  10. LOL Princeton has not even sent out yet their official admission letters...
  11. I know there is at least one international applicant who got full funding ($30k).
