I've had two schools tell me they expect to make me an offer on April 15 or 16, and to be ready to reply. I have heard of people getting exploding offers, though I am not sure if that was for econ or some other field. Anecdotally, I was given until April 15 to accept mine. startz Posted April 13, 2018 Share Posted April 13, 2018 No one should get an offer that explodes before April 15th from an American school. There is an agreement about this through the Council of Graduate Schools, although technically the agreement applies only to offers of financial support rather than offers of admission.
