Hi all, I am looking to convert my U.K qualification to US (New York specific if possible). I have noted the process is not very easy or straightforward to follow. I am aiming to prepare for the April 2019, to all enough time for myself to prepare the NABP application. However also have my brother's wedding (date unset) at this present moment but lingering around the month of April 2019. I called NABP for guidance of a specific date for April 2019 - but they couldn't advise me until October exam is done - Does anyone else have any idea when the April 2019 exam could be? I'm reaching out for two further things here: Firstly A study buddy in the U.K? :)I'm from the Birmingham area And also further guidance following sitting the Exam FPGEC... Does the TOFEL exam have to be sat in the US or any test centre around the world? I'm reading previous threads re: obtaining internships - how difficult is this? I wouldn't like to do al this work to find I would be applicable for an internship. Any feedback would be appreciated! Goodluck October exam sitters hope it goes well.

Could you please inform me if NABP requires only the internship certificate (PJ) or if BU certificates are also necessary? What specifically does NABP request during the application process? These documents are not listed on the ECE website. Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Hi. I'm a phramacist in Korea trying to make my practice in states. I have applied to FPGEC at 3rd of Jan this year. Sent my documents to ECE and FPGEC. And I got the confirmation email that both documents has arrived well to FPGEC at 18th of Jan.( one from ECE(the ECE report) and the other for FPGEC). But the thing is when I check my document status on my profile, it says that only my ECE report has been delivered.

ECE Report/Transcript Received 01/18/2019

I was nervous if the FPGEC documents(the passport, attestation documents) delivered to the wrong place or something so I called them and emailed them. And they answered to me that it normaly takes 4-6weeks to handle the procedure. So what I want to ask you guys are, does the document status not updated til they finish reviewing our documents, normally how long did it take to get an update for you guys. I am pretty nervous because I am aiming the April test right now. Please share your cases. thanks

Hello, I'm in a tough situation with my FPGEC process. I applied and passed on my fifth attempt in 2011, but wasn't able to complete the TOEFL certification before the expiration period. I contacted NABP and re-applied in 2016, but wasn't able to pass. According to the Candidate Application Bulletin: "Candidates that do not pass the FPGEE upon the final allowed attempt will have their FPGEC application closedand will be ineligible for further testing." I think I'm in this situation. I made two unsuccessful appeals to re-open my application, but haven't had any luck. Has anyone else encountered this situation and gotten an opportunity to re-apply? I'm in a really tough spot and would really like another chance. Please let me know. Thanks, Abdoul

Hi , I sent my documents to FPGEC of NABP by DHL & the tracking information says that the documents was delivered to NABP one week ago, but still till now No status in my FPGEC online application says that they received anything , I contacted NABP to check what is the problem to know what happened to my documents & why there is no status saying that they received my documents although they were delivered one week ago , but they didn't give me any useful information & asked me to send an email to FPGEC , I already sent the email to them 5 days ago but no response So I'm asking if anyone knows what to do to solve this problem ?? & also I'm asking if someone faced a problem like that before ?

How long will it take for nabp to receive toefl report and give an update on the e-profile if I send it after I got my score? I did not send it while applying just for the reason that I can still have it re-scored in case it's just a 1 point difference

Hi everyone! I am a pharmacist from Spain and I am planning to sit for the FPGEE in April or October 2019. I just started the proccess of collecting all the documents for the FPGEC and I have some questions. I am not sure what it the Official Proof of Licensure and/or Registration for Spain. Is there someone from Spain in the forum that have gone through the proccess? Not sure if I need to be registered ("colegiado") at one of the Spanish Board of Pharmacy ("Colegio de Farmacéuticos"). A friend told me I may need a document from the Spanish Ministry of Education. I would really appreciate any help! Thank you very much for reading and have a nice day everyone, Sandra

Hi!! Does anybody has experience as pharmacy intern in Florida? ... I am making my search from Costa Rica, calling and sending emails, but without luck so far. I need some help (a lot!!) What's the best way to find a job as intern? Is it better in independent pharmacies, big chains, hospital? How long does the Board take to process the intern license? What's the average salary of an intern? I am planning to relocate to Florida in March, and I don't need sponsorship for visa. I will appreciate all your suggestions :):)

Hi all, I completed the FPGEC process 2 years ago. Finally found a pharmacy that is processing my H1B filling. I need a New Jersey pharmacy intern permit as part of H1b processing but no SSN because I don't live in the United state. I guess I need some kind of letter from pharmacy board. I am not getting anywhere with the pharmacy board. I am wondering if anyone out here have experienced a similar situation before and what was the solution.

Dear All, I am from India. I completed my 2-Year Intermediate (from 2002 to 2004) which contains subjects like "Botany, Zoology, Physics, Chemistry etc." This is US equivalent of 11th and 12th Grades. (My Age: 15, 16) I completed my 2-Year D.Pharm (from 2004 to 2006) [D.Pharm = Diploma in Pharmacy] through which I acquired certificate as a "Registered Pharmacist" in 2006 for practicing pharmacy in my country. (My Age: 17, 18) A One Year Gap for Education (from 2006 to 2007). (My Age: 19) I completed my 3-Year B.Pharm (from 2007 to 2010). (My Age: 20, 21, 22) From 2010 to 2013, I am working as a Clinical Trails Associate in a Hospital and holds a relevant experience certificate for that. My spouse is in US on H1B Visa. I hold H4 Visa and I am still in India, yet to travel to US. I am planning to appear for FPGEE. 1. Totally, I had [2+3 =] 5 Years of Pharmacy Curriculum before completing Graduation. Am I eligible for FPGEE? 2. Can I show my "Intermediate" as Pre-Pharmacy course work in determining my curriculum length to ECE/NABP? 3. If required, my country provides me an option to transfer my "Registered Pharmacist" certificate to a latest educational degree i.e. from D.Pharm to B.Pharm. Is this step required? Thanks in advance for your replies.

I just passed both FPGEE and TOEFL and now I am waiting for the Certificate to arrive. I already got the.Place where I can do my internship. I have some questions about the internship if any of you can give me the clarification. 1.In the Internship Instructions, it states that the extended intern registration will be expired if the extended-intern fail NAPLEX or MPJE. I would like to have the clarification that if the failure occur within 6 months after getting FPGEC, will I have a chance to re-take the test and try to pass within 6 months or the extended intern will be expired immediately after the first attemp regardless the period of time? 2.Does the extended internship require more than one pharmacy setting? Can I be and intern in 1 setting (for example, Long Term Care Pharmacy) for 1,500 hrs? Thank you. :)

Anyone in Bay Area preparing for FPGEE for Nov 2012?

Hello Guys Recently I got a job in a US Hospital (Profit Organization) and they are ready to file my H1B. I need 1500 hrs of internship. already passed FPGEC in June 2010. How I got the job? I went straight to the Hospital in my city and about told my current status and told that I got my FPGEC certificate and looking for Pharmacy Intern position. Although there was no such position but as he said that he can create a position and also he was looking for some Pharmacy technician but not posted that vacancy online. So with my confidence and previous background in IT field (As I also have a degree in Masters in information Systems) Head Pharmacist got interested. He also need someone to take care of their computer systems as well as Pharm tech work, he asked that whether I will need a sponsor as i am a foreigner? I said yes but to make him comfortable I told that I will bear all the fees and there will be no problem. He told me to come next week as he will talk to the HR department and will let me know. I visited him next week and he took me to the HR manager and everything was discussed bout H1B visa and they told me to look for immigration lawyer and they will start their process. Now I got one lawyer second day. After discussing with HR manager I came to know that its profit organization and have more than 100 hospitals in whole US. They encouraged me to be with their company after completing my hours and NAPLEX and MPJE and they will provide recommendations for another hospital wherever I want to move or they have vacancies. Problems: Salary is of a Pharmacy Technician and have to sponsor my H1B Visa from my pocket (No problem in that at least I will start a job) and will start my internship soon after h1B approval. Till that time i will work as a volunteer as I am not authorized to work off campus with salary. At least my hours will be counted towards license. Another problem. I spoke to my lawyer and they have hard time in finding category code for filing H1B. all they can find is of a category of Pharmacy technician with Department of Labor and will do their own research to file under proper category. My Question: Is there anyone who has idea who has filed Pharmacy Intern License for H1B. If I can get that code then it will be easy to file h1B asap before Sept 2010. Recommendation to all: Go and talk to the head of Hospital Pharmacist directly, many times they have vacancy and don't open it as it takes time. Once they open its hard to get job as a lot of people start applying. so be the first mover....!! Thanks for your time and patience and appreciate if anyone can solve my problem. I hope this forum will give some strength and motivation to some candidates. Thanks

Does anyone know if companies like rite aid, for example, would be willing to sponsor someone like myself (a UK pharmacist) for a H-1B visa do you think or are these the sort of companies turning their backs on foreign pharmacists? I am aware of all other procedures as regards to FPGEC examination etc, but would like to know the job prospects are good before I proceed with the exam. Also, does anyone know if I'd need a H-1B visa to do the internship if it was voluntary or would I be able to work for free on a tourist visa?
